ACTIONS/ INDICATIONS

Highlights of the Polyvite A formula include:

Vitamin A (100% as Beta-Carotene)

  • Supports healthy vision and immune function
  • Stimulates secretion of intestinal alkaline phosphatase (low in type A) which aids in fat breakdown and calcium absorption
  • Vitamin A has been shown to modulate the immune response in the intestinal tract, supporting intestinal repair and inflammation.

Acerola Cherry

  • Contains 66 times the vitamin C of orange juice, and provides 100% of the RDA of vitamin C
  • Promotes digestive health and growth of friendly bacteria

Vitamin D

  • Vitamin D, in its active form as cholecalciferol, is most well-known for its bone strengthening benefits, however it is also an immune modulator. It may help prevent infections and autoimmune illness.

Thiamin

  • An essential vitamin required as a cofactor for multiple enzymatic activities.

Riboflavin

  • Necessary for ATP production
  • Supports reduction and generation of glutathione
  • May also show benefits in migraines
  • Niacin
  • Supports cholesterol levels
  • Helps in supporting the heart and vascular health

Vitamin B6

  • Supports proper neurotransmitter production
  • Supports liver health
  • Supports metabolism of homocysteine
  • Folate
  • Important in DNA synthesis
  • Supports metabolism of homocysteine
  • Involved in functioning of the nervous system

Methylcobalamin (Active B12)

  • Helps balance melatonin metabolism
  • Aids in cortisol metabolism
  • Biotin
  • Aids in the utilization of sugar and glucose
  • Supports fatty acid oxidation

  • Potent antimutagen
  • Aids in maintaining gut integrity
  • Regulates the histamine response
  • Pantethine
  • Helps regulate cholesterol metabolism

Lipoic acid (Thioctic acid)

  • Enhances insulin sensitivity
  • “Ideal,” and “metabolic” antioxidant. It neutralizes free radicals in both the fatty and watery regions of cells, in contrast to vitamin C (which is water soluble) and vitamin E (which is fat soluble).

Bacopa monieri

  • Enhances cognitive ability and memory retention
  • Aids in cortisol metabolism

Nori, dunaliela, laminaria sea vegetable mixture

  • Contains alginates which can help bind heavy metals and protect against harmful lectins
  • Is a rich source of plant polysaccharides and trace minerals

Curcumin

  • Contains powerful antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory compounds
  • Inhibits the enzyme ODC, thereby decreasing potentially toxic and carcinogenic bowel polyamines
  • Promotes gastric integrity, increases mucin production, and offers gastro-protective effects

Arabinogalactan pulp

  • Promotes growth of friendly bacteria
  • Supports immune system health

Acerola Cherry

  • Contains 66 times the vitamin C of orange juice, and provides 100% of the RDA of vitamin C

  • Inhibits the enzyme ODC, thereby decreasing potentially toxic and carcinogenic bowel polyamines
  • Is a rich source of health promoting proanthocyanadins
  • Has been found to help delay the onset of age-related declines in cognitive function
  • Inhibits bacterial adherence

Inula racemosa root extract (2% allantolactone)

  • Promotes insulin sensitivity
  • Lowers cortisol
  • Provides fiber substrate needed to promote growth of friendly bacteria

Dandelion root extract (25% inulin)
